In December 2013, we were asked to create a giant 10m tall beanstalk as an inflatable panto prop for a production of Jack and the Beanstalk. We are often asked to make weird and wonderful inflatables and our workshop team relish the opportunity to get creative! We have a long history of providing custom inflatables for theatre and panto props, as well as art installations and countless other imaginative projects. The team in the workshop love a challenge and set to producing an effective design that would work from a technical and artistic perspective.

Our team decided on windy tubes as the basic design, cold air filled by mains operated fan blowers. They continually blew air into the inflatables to maintain their shape and with clever construction, the beanstalks also had some gentle lifelike movement. We were really pleased with how they turned out and the visual impact they had on the stage.
